Would a Boxster S 6 speed work with a Subaru WRX STI engine?
tygaboy
Anything is possible but why not make your life simple and just get a Suby trans? Everything works together, there’s a ton of people who know about the drive train, it’s proven to work, etc.
Sell me your Boxster S trans and other bits. Pm me if you decide to go this way.

I agree with Tygaboy. There are a lot of different transmissions, with lots of adapter plates connected to lots of Subaru engines. But a Subie engine connected to a Subie transmission is so simple and almost fool proof. Simple is good.

No, as there is no provision for the starter.

Not true... it can be done. I did it with a Cayman 6 speed connect to an Air cooled 911 motor. You just have to be creative.

But with a Subaru engine I would use the Subaru Transmission. It is much simpler to do.

Not true... you also have to be an engineer and fabricator. poke.gif

That sounds a bit like a backhanded compliment. So thank you.

Will those rear trunk lid torsion bars fit in the engine bay with the WRX-STI engine?
