Just dropped engine and one axle at engine end came apart.can I clean it and ball bearings ,repackand just reassemble.?

Should not have come apart.
Maybe the circlip is missing?

But only with attention to wear and all of the parts
It shouldn’t fall apart but can if it was a huge struggle. Or if something is wrong.
