I came across an unexpected plate mounted to the edge of the engine deck lid on our 914-6.

"1967 911S ENGINE USED IN THIS VEHICLE"

It appears to be metal and attached with two screws. Has anyone else seen anything similar to this? I assume it is not from the factory, or it would have been riveted.

Not on a 914-6 from the factory and the first cars came out in November and December of 69

My car was the 30th one in out in the month of December.

I think someone changed out your Eng. A 67 S is worth a lot of money

Get some pictures of your eng.

A well meaning owner or mechanic did that to ensure it would be known and serviced
properly.
A 67S engine is very different spec than a stock 914 6
