Going through some things on my 1970 1.7. I need to reinstall the clutch fork with a new bushing. How do you press this on? I haven't been able to get good leverage on it with the trans on the stand.

Place the bearing on the fork and slide it on. The nylon cup should pop on to the pivot ball.

Do you have the small yoke that bolts to the fork and pivots on the ball? It goes on after you have slid the fork over the guide.

I have the small yoke. Just couldn't immediately get the new nylon bushing to pop onto the ball.

The ball rides on the bushing. It does not pop inside.
