Lately I've adjusted my clutch cable like once a week, since it would
start to grind going into first. Well, the cable is not fraying or very
old, but when I finally took out the floorboard I could see (with
mirror) how when clutch pedal is on the floor, the clevis is not able
to swing to stay horizontal. This is because I'm the dumbkopf who
screwed in the threads too far into the clevis, so lever hits the screw
end of cable. Cable end is then pulling at an angle. This seems to
be what's stretching the cable. I won't know until I've driven for a
few more weeks, though. idea.gif
