So this mornig I take the car to work (45 miles on the highway) after running for a little while the temp runs up to 325 on my CHT guage. I keep an eye on it and then the LOOOOONG hills start coming 2-3 miles all up hill. The temp climbs to 375-390 so I hold it back a little and on the downhill side the temp returns to 350 and stays for the rest of the trip 20 miles until I get off the highway and it returns to 300.
Should I be worried? Should I look at something specific to see if I'm out of adjustment or tune? Is it OK to hit 390 for a short while?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Hmmm... 2 thoughts... somewhat lean, and maybe you have restricted air flow to the jugs, check for compacted oily doo-doo.
What's the oil temp doing?

next time, downshift in 4th and run her >4000 rpm and see if that makes the temps drop ...
