I'm installing a PLX wideband controller and O2 sensor. Everything is in place but I'm having trouble getting accessory power from the fuse box. I first tried an open pin (3rd from the left, yellow wire) but it did not power the controller.

I next tried the only other open pin (2nd from the right) which DID provide power, but it always has power if the battery is hooked up. Surely there's another option? My attached picture shows the connection that is always on. The red wire going off to the right goes to the controller.

Any advice is much appreciated!

How much power is it looking for? They are kinda picky depending on the brand.

9-25V, at least 3 amps.

I power my innovate controller off the fuel pump circuit. This ensures the sensor heater is never running without the engine (in the case of fuel injection anyways)
