I weigh 205. ohmy.gif

So I went to the truck scale at the dump today and got weighed on two seperate scales and I now know what my car weighs with me and 3/4 tank of fuel.
Scale is accurate within 20 pounds. dry.gif

Guess the weight.
All steel car, no weight reduction efforts aside from sound deadening mats on both side of firewall.

Winner gets a handful of old tile spacers.

You'll be surprised. I was. idea.gif

2380!

Sooooo, empty and with just a few gallons of gas like when I'm racing it weighs just 2090#'s.

I seemed to remember the number 2200# being the curb weight of a stock FOUR car.

Why is my car light, and with thye SIX? confused24.gif

I'll take it, of course.

smilie_pokal.gif WooHoo!

Maybe they are trying to shortchange you on your trash at the dump! wacko.gif

Really, that is pretty light, you have a good 20lbs in reinforcements and what 100 extra pounds for the 6?
brant
This is great news...

Scales are finicky to say the least. I've had the same scale weigh different one day to the next.

especially truck scales because they are calibrated to work best within a certain zone. a scale that is dead accurate at 10,000 lbs is usually outside of its zone at 2000 lbs.

still this is VERY good news trekkor.

I think PCA recognizes the stock 4 car at 2139
alot of the early cars are lighter and the later cars might be over
I know when we ran PCA stock class (full interior), our 1974/4 race car was 2141, but that was with the full roll cage, a front cooler, and a 45lb lead weight bolted into the passenger side footwell.

so I would think a lot of 4's weigh under 2139

still you've got that aluminum block in there, which I believes sums in around 150lbs.

so your golden!

1/8" dry.gif

I need to visit a chassis dyno next. idea.gif

The deal with the truck scales here is they weigh you full, you dump, they weigh you empty. You pay by the pound.
Everything from full size garbage trucks to lil' chevy luvs.

The fact that I weighed *exactly* the same on the way in and out makes me happy.

The originally published number for the 914-6 was 2070 lbs.
Don't know if that's with half tank or what.

914-4 of 1970 was 1980 lbs, which makes sense because the
cars are basically the same except for the engine, which was
quoted ~390 for the 2.0-6 and ~280 for the 1.7-4.

Anyway, I believe your weight is probably about right.
