Some days when I start out for a drive, my temp gauge will fog up. Seems like it happens on very humid or rainy days.
Is this normal or do I have a problem that needs to be addressed?
Thank you.

On occasion; happens to mine. Got one gauge serviced which also sealed the unit and has kept it from coming back. One still does it. NJ, so humid.

Is the resealing a DIY. job or best left to a specialist?

Gauge is NOT sealed. Light bulb socket is the weak point.

I read you can drill extra holes to help air it out so it won't fog up

Thank you. Could you please explain what you mean by the "weak point" and what do I do about it?
