so i think i have a leak on my oil pressure Control valve , thats next to the oil filter , like its coming down the thread , before i try tighten or undo it , is there a seal for it that may have perished ?

When you unscrew it, there is an O ring only. No gasket or sealant. Look above it though, likely not that failing....
