Need some help. I recently found out the PO put a fuel gauge from what appears to be a 75 and I have a 73. I received a replacement gauge for a 1973, but I would prefer to save time if someone has a diagram or photo on the correct pin placement. I have tried using the search engine, but I can't seem to locate the proper diagram. Can anyone help me out?
Thanks.

I don't believe that fuel gauges changed over the years other than early have silver dot centers and late have black dots - if that's what you mean. As to pinout - are you referring to the pins on the top of the sender in the front trunk on top of the fuel tank?

Hey Brian,
The back of the gauges that I am finding are different, in the layout, ie bulbs, and terminal placement.
Added photo of new gauge for reference.
I see the ground wire terminal, the +positive terminal, but I'm not sure what wire attaches to the terminal across from the positive, and then the small what appears to be a screw with the nut. Do[attachment=852145]es anything attach to that?

Red w/ white stripe to +, black to the warning light, green to G. There should be a brown that goes to the ground contact that has multiple wires on one spade. As far as I can recall, nothing goes to the stud.

Red and white to + check
Green to G check
Brown to Ground check
Black not sure which light is the warning light?
The PO has a number of extra wires that are as confusing as hell

Warning light is the light socket that is actually on the back of the fuel gauge portion close to the + terminal.
Love PO wiring!
After finding over half the under-dash wires in my wife's Fastback were red, I scrapped the whole harness and did a full replacement with original colors. Little easier to come by for those cars...
