My adventures in installing the front sway bar reinforcement. My welding skills are a bit rusty. We noticed mounts for the front bar looked a little weird. It didn't take long to find they original mounts had cracked. Welded up the original mounting plate and then went ahead with the doubler.

That should work!

BTW, I once had the same magnetic circles for a previous 914 that my wife and I outcrossed and time-trialed. I ran 73 (it was a 1973) and my wife ran 74.

It won't break there again, but it will someplace else! I've reinforced the rear, inner trailing arm ear and then ripped out the spot welds on my RSR Teflon bushings. I cracked near the emergency brake (who hasn't), so put in the longitudinal reinforcements. Now I finally broke something on the front of the car. Got front, middle, and rear now!
