This looks like a 914 alternator, but in 90 and 120 Amp output, with an internal regulator.

Interesting! Someone remind me what the output of our wee bairn alternators is? 60amp seems to be rattling in my head?

Looks like up rated version of VW Rabbit/Golf

Says it does not fit a 72 bus either, which was the first year bus to use the T4 motor. But it sure looks right.

Nope, 50 Amp was stock for the 914/4. The VW411/412 had a 55 Amp that fits perfectly.

Notice that this universal alternator has 4 screws instead of the 3 screws to hold it together. The cover would not fit. This alternator does not have the 3-pin plug that ours do either. This appears to be internally regulated where ours are external type.
Where ours have B+, D+, D- & DF plus case ground, this one has B+, D+ & W.
