I am looking for suggestions on how to vent a tank with an in-tank pump. Fuel smell, and fuel sloshing are an issue. Any suggestions

Can you describe your goals? I do this in my 914 racer with a fuel cell.

I'm running a Aeromotive Phantom in-tank pump in my LS car and I get a bit of fuel smell, too. I'm still developing the car and it runs an "open" vent line so I plan to route it to a charcoal filter. Maybe I'll reposition a stock one or give a go t making a custom one I can hide.

You need a charcoal canister for fuel smell. That is still the go to solution. For sloshing you need either fuel tank foam or internal baffles.

I will add a charcoal canister, the sloshing is fuel running out of the vent tube when it is full. I’ll have to come up with a way to vent the tank higher in the air.

I will try to modify an expansion tank to work, see if that works

This is my setup. Evap canister didn’t fit but vent goes to charcoal canister then back to air intake.

Fuel slosh smell is still an issue but only when filled to the brim and on the turns.

That looks great, very clean. I’ll need not to fill to the top.

There are two way springloaded vents that only vent when there is an inside/outside pressure difference.

I am using this for my seven replica and I have zero issues with fuel smell in the garage.

I did a FiTech pump, stock expansion tank, and charcoal cannister. No fuel smell or slosh.

I bought it locally here in Sweden in a store that specialises in industrial parts (llike McMaster-Carr) but you could make one yourself from a threaded plug, set screws, springs and ball bearings.
