Great price on this Chris. A powerful tester. I’ve seen these sell for nearly twice this amount.

I'm hearing pinball machine noises as that's operating, with KISS music in the background... wink.gif

Does it work on a 75 1.8 l-jet… one can only hope

If so I’ll take it
ChrisFoley

Funny you should say that.... @scottthephotog has two 914s, a D-Jet tester and a bunch of pinball machines in his garage. lol-2.gif

Hmmm... does it come with any training if I pick it up?
GregAmy
There's an old German-speaking guy in Bavaria that still offers online training classes for these things.

(Not true)

I can copy pages from the Factory Repair Manual that covers all the tests,
but I don't have enough personal experience operating the tester to provide training.

This is also known as the VW 1218 tester. You can find instructions on its use on the Pelican, Aircooled Nut and TheSamba websites. Search on “VW 1218 tester” and you will find all of these references.
