I have the desirable W case and want to prepare it for a future build. Is there a procedure or instructions written somewhere explaining how to prepare a case assembly?

I wouldn’t mind purchasing this information; maybe Mr. Raby offered something in the past?

Thanks,
Jim

Check line bore. Pull head studs and have case decked on barrel spigots. Visually check crankshaft and camshaft saddles for damage or out of round.

The oil passages get tapped and plugged, or welded shut. Oil pressure regulator valve assembly needs modified I believe. The rear main seal needs a pressure relief passage. Case needs clearances for Cr moly rods. Epoxy or some king of coating for interior and exterior of case.

I’m hopping to find a complete list processes to perform.

Using new main bearing inserts, see if they're a tight fit into the brg saddles, if loose at all, the case needs line boring to 1st O/S

Other than being clean and straight/flat and within spec, build her up
