A friend is restoring a 914/6 and is in search of a usable early hand brake boot. I am not aware of an aftermarket one, so let me know if you have one and I will pass the info along.

Martin the boot is one thing but the plastic retainer pin is the unobtanium piece.

Geez. I have 3 914's and wasn't even aware that part existed.

My friends car is a bit of a HOT ROD, so he wasn't to concerned with the boot. I would snap it up in a heart beat if I was restoring a real 914/6!
