Anybody know if the knob on the blower lever is the same for either a console style lever or the one that's used without a console?

The knob is the same, the lever is different.

Lever on the non-console is more or less straight. Lever on the console has a jog in it.

The actual knob on *most* is the same rounded and red, some, not sure if early or late is angular and has imprinting in white.

Not early, unless it's REALLY early. I have a '71, with a rounded, red, unlettered knob. But then, my car also came with movable passenger seat and the appropriate backpad, so who knows if that's original...

This would be the 911 lever. I had one of these on the Blue car when I got it. It'll work, but it's not a 914 lever.
