Little things are annoying me. Is there a process to get the floor board back aroung the pedals without disconnecting the accelerator from the cable?

No need to remove the cable. Remove the two bolts that mount the pedal to the floor. If they are rusty soak with a good penetrant.
Remove the pedal covers. Hold the board horizontal and slide onto the top of the pedals and then down.

It's not easy, but it can be done. It's like a puzzle that only goes together one way. I can't remember exactly how I did it, but you twist and turn and it will go over the pedals. It's hard to explain! Patience!

Pop the Excelerator rod off the back of the excelerator pedal. Then the board will go in, with some movement of the clutch and brake pedal’s.

YES Just snap the rod off of the pedal and remove the two pedal pads and then the two allen bolts and turn at an angle to remove

Only remove from back of pedal socket. Just pull, the pedal towards you.
