They got the micro truck astectic going on!

Sorry.....but I don't get it. Why would you put a 165 tire on a 7" wheel? I wouldn't put a 165 on a 5.5" wheel. Not only are you defeating the whole purpose of going to wider wheels(increasing contact area), but it also looks hideous. confused24.gif

Beautiful car. Love the stance. Faulty wheel / tire choice
The front bumper is interesting.....appears to be a '75-'76 rubber bumper beam

manga

you can't think about this like an american. or an aussie of old.

j people are big into comics and illustration look.
most of the time on the road they are constrained from going fast.
so they develop other interests.
like spinning their wheels.
and the look of the wheels while spinning.
its a very constrained society, very polite..........with occasional breakouts of real savagery.

its happening here now.
so constrained by brutal application and enforcement of speed limits that youngens are only interested in the blitz out moment of going from 0 - 60. KM/H not m/h too sadly!
thats 35 mph in imperial measure you blokes forgot to chuck out when you chucked out the poms a couple of hundred years ago. beer.gif

I was all over Japan last week and only saw one air-cooled, a busted 911 G Body behind a gas station. I did see some new Porsches once I got to Tokyo.
Now the little trucks, they are everywhere, in every configuration. And after driving those narrow streets for a week I now know why all the cars are tiny.

Now, go-karts in the streets, that was cool!
gandalf_025
Mini trucks are available and street legal in some States,
like Mass. They must be at least 25 years old.

Dealer in NJ brings in quite a few…

One of the hotels we stayed at in Northern Japan had some really cool stuff. I wish I knew more of the language.

biggrin.gif queens english - pot plants = plant in a pot.
down here if you said potted plant you'd either get your head punched or be impolitely asked to speak english. what you smoke isn't included in the plant family and has been classified weed in the southern hemisphere for at least 3 decades.

where you fill up kei class.
space saver gas station. nozzles descend at press of buttonsl.
you check your yens rolling on the big meter screen on the wall.
canopy won't fall on your head in richter 9 earthquake.
everything is engineered big time in J. biggrin.gif

The Subaru, Sunbar?, AWD is pretty cool. Way cool at 2.7k. But where would you get parts for it?

Lots of that ballooned tire with massive neg camber and a 2 or 3” tire contact patch around here. The maniacs must go thru tires like crazy.

Lived in Japan for three years. Never stopped being amazed by their sense of culture and aesthetic. All hall marked by their self discipline.

They create some of the coolest motorized stuff just for the sake of style and creativity.

Used to love watching the Bosozoku gangs cruising the streets of Tokyo in the wee hours. Big fun.

wheels and tires look terrible on that teener.... bad choice...

lucky you.

J = an incredible place.

my cousin is married to a J woman he met there.
they live here now.
he spent a long time in J a decade ago and is a bit younger than me.

my father had contact through work as a boilermaker with a group of J ship hull welders back in late 60s.
he kept in touch with one of them for years, despite language barrier.
annual xmas shipments of J and A beer across the hemispheres.
in the days before export and import beer.

i've been over there a couple of times when $ were spare.
i don't take notice of anything much in world architecture except what some Js do and did.

That tree is trimmed beautifully. Framed by the building. Work and tender care has paid off.

I just imported a 1994 Honda Acty this past summer. It is 4 wheel drive, 5 speed, AC, and can haul a half ton. It is right hand drive and creates a crowd wherever I go.
