I actually learned this a few years ago after seeing a higher number of 914s with different side vinyl.

After 914 number 4762903750 the factory switched the roll bar vinyl to a much rougher pattern:Click to view attachment

its your issue to fix.
If this is an iPhone, open the pic on the phone and rotate the picture 180 degrees and submit it again...just replace the pic you initially posted.

if its a laptop, open up the picture in an editor and flip it over.

George if you look in the original workshop manual they also show this vinyl pattern being used. Those photos were all taken on early prototype cars.

It is the same pattern on early targa 911 roof material.

Never knew it was used at the end of production.
