Many years ago, on a cold April 25 morning, … I walked into
Park Porsche in Lawrence Mass. with my dad and he
proceeded to co-sign a loan for me to buy a 914
that had been traded back to them as it had 24,000 miles
on it and was about to come out of warranty.
The owner traded it for a new 911..

It was a lifetime ago..

That sort of history with any car is very cool! Love seeing the purchase price of a real 914-6 back then.

Congrats! Coming up on 50 years for me since having my parental units co-sign a loan on my new '73 914. Mom was convinced I would kill myself in it and dad said "it's just a fancy looking, overpriced Volkswagen" lol. I would kill to have the original paperwork back on that car (and the car too of course).

Very interesting. Thanks for posting this. I hate Audis. My last & only one was constantly in the shop. I dumped it for a BMW 528e. Now that was a REAL car & not a POS toy.
