I picked up a 1970 914-6 that someone had removed the roll bar vinyl and i would like to put it back. I recall a discussion regarding the early cars having a smoother finish to the vinyl. Does anyone know if this is correct and if it is, is there a supplier?
Thank you,
Chris

I'm unaware of a difference in the vinyl formed onto foam for the early cars vs late. It should be the same as the dashboard.

I meant the sail panel exterior vinyl
Sorry for the confusion

I believe he is talking about the vinyl between the sail panels.

As long as it all matches color wise, who is going to know the difference?

the roll bar vinyl is all the same until number 4762903750 we have the three piece kits made from the original stuff on the shelf

Install with a GENTLE spray of 3m or Wurth spray trim adhesive as not to lift the paint
