So, I’ve replaced the oil cooler, having dropped the engine and removed the fan shroud, alternator, etc., and in spite of my best efforts, have a screw left over.
Can anyone help me identify where this M8X15 belongs?

There is one hole for the engine tin that is oversize. It's for the right-side tin piece that goes over the cylinders and head, but it's on the edge of the tin nearest the centerline of the engine. I am not certain that it's an M8 hole, but it's larger than M6.

Cheese head engine tin screw Probably missing one in your tin easy to do.

Isn’t there an m8 like that on the 2 piece square bracket that holds the cooler?

It’s been a while since I’ve done that job
So could be wrong

Maybe check the PET?
