Cheers all!
Getting ready to put the engine back in. FINALLY!
Should the axles go in first or does it matter?

I put my axles in first. However, I'll defer to others with more experience.

Are you installing the engine/transmission as a unit with the exhaust? If the exhaust is on, I think axles first and tie them up to the springs so they stay up and out of the way.
If you're installing the exhaust later, I think it matters not; but still probably easier first.

I seem to recall that the easiest way is to install axles first.
If my memory is correct, you cannot install the axle with the male stub end all assembled because you won’t have room once the engine and transmission are installed.
Secondarily, if you choose to install the cv to cv axle assembly with the engine in the car, you have little if barely any clearance to get a tool in to tighten up the axle at the wheel end.

The exhaust will go in after. I'll get the axles squared away and installed first -then hung up.
Thanks for the advice. I appreciate the help!!!
One step closer.
