recommended products to protect cables from headers

DEI makes great heat protection products in all shapes and sizes.

I use their hook/loop heat screen for protecting cables and electrical wiring around the Tangerine exhaust on the race car. Wrap it around the cables/wires and use a tad bit of safety wire to secure it in place. - GA

Your header will come with a reflective sleeve for the cables.

As much as I liked the Firesleeve's insulating properties, I didn't particularly like sliding it on and off the cables. Maybe better on a street car than on a race car.
