Besides the obvious relevance of the date... yesterday was also my 14th anniversary of picking up my 914 from the previous owner.
Brought the 914 to work today, had to stop for gas and was promptly asked if it was a fiat

I have a 9 hour drive in 14 days for the start of Rennsport Reunion.

With a bit of tuning, I will get my 914 back on the road after almost a year of downtime.

I took car out to its native habitat at the top of South Mountain (8 miles of 15mph hairpin turns) with one of my daughters. Then drove back and went out for breakfast.

Drove my 914 down the street today for the first time ever under its own power. Not running or shifting great but it was my goal to get it running by 9/14 so technically made it.

Drove it to the post office. Canyon driving on 9/16
Traffic was terrible today, but we will take it out tomorrow.
