New motor, car sorted, itching for some longer drives. Anyone in SoCal want to meet for some a drive in November? We had a group from Coachella valley meet up with Temecula, SD and OC guys a few years back at the Cahuilla Casino. Great cheap breakfast there. Or Garage 79 if it’s still open.

Between this group and facebook group looks like we have at least a dozen we can count as IN already. So lets do this!
How about the SATURDAY of THANKSGIVING Weekend? Meet up at the Cahuilla Casino Resort, Highway 371 near Anza. I could lead a group from the Coachella Valley area, and then we need a volunteer to lead from the Temecula side.

The Coachella Valley Group all like to leave at a "reasonable hour" so arrival at Cahuilla would be about 11am.

From Cahuilla, we have the option to then continue on to Idylwild, but being a holiday weekend it will be packed there. And maybe even snow.

Any volunteers from Temecula and beyond?

I could possibly lead a group leaving from Menifee/Murrieta Area but I can’t confirm my schedule that holiday weekend till we get a little closer. So I’ll stay tuned.

Made a trip up to Cahuilla casino on Sunday. Got there in 45 minutes driving time so I think we can extend the drive to end at Garage79 instead of casino. That’s more like an hour from Coachella Valley and closer for drives from the OC or SD county area.

I have been super non-committal the past couple years as my kids have been heavy into Mountain Bike racing and it takes the majority of our time so I can never seem to tell when I'll have time and when I can squeak in any "me time"--Hoping I can get out for this (fingers crossed) it's been a while since the SoCal group has come together

Group meet up in Menifee Ca. We will meet up in Menifee and drive through Sage and Wilson Valley road to the Cahuilla casino. Meet at the Jack in the box (Newport & Antelope) at 10:00 am leave at 10:30 and arrive at Cahuilla 11:30

Conditions were near perfect, maybe just a little chilly at Cahuilla :thumb:
