Hi was hoping that someone could supply a picture of the small spring and mount at the equalizer end of the e brake TIA Dennis

It is not used on early cars. Dont have a picture but it hooks to a loop on the firewall under the tab that the cover screws into. Other end hooks to the offset tab on tbe equalizer assembly.

Yes mine is a 74 replaced lower firewall and e brake conduits but have no idea what the loop and tab look like or the cover over equalizer

Looks like someone installed the spring to add extra tension... smile.gif or the hook at the end broke off.

Not quite correct. You have the spring hooked thru the hole that is for a screw to hold the cover. And the part it connects to on the equalizer should come in from the top with tbe offset downward. The other end of the spring hooks to a loop on the firewall under the tab to which you have it connected.
