I did some significant cleanup of oil and gunk when doing my 123 dizzy install. Car runs great now but already seeing some new oil (see pic below). With everything cleaned up it’s easier to try to locate the source.

is this a common leak point and advice on rectifying oil leaks at this location?

Replace the gasket and use some gasket sealer, not silicon.

agree.gif exactly, I would use the shellac based sealer

That looks more like it's coming from above than below. Is it your breather hose?

It definitely looks like it’s coming from above, so I also suspected the breather hose. but it didn’t seem like there was any oil between the breather hose and the ledge where the oil collected. I wiped it up but will inspect again after my next drive…
