I head down to Maryland to grab a bunch of cars and I get two 914's! The gem of the collection was a matching numbers 65 911.
Will the fun ever stop?

What is the story behind those? Were they planning to restore them or did they just drive cars into the ground, put them out back, and buy another one? Either way congrats on the haul!

Glad they will have a chance to be on the road again. That's a score, and a lot of work.

Who could live long enough to restore them all?

It's PSS, not PPS unless you support public television. Then's it's PBS.

Wow, even I have "vultured" many a Datsun Z and Fiat Spiders.
IMO some cars become "organ donors" so that others can live.
"Fixing them all" is pretty serious!
Killer find!
Please port the backstory on those if you can.

The story is pretty straightforward. I bought a 356 Notchback from the family back in 2020, the old guy said, "You should come out to the farm!" I went there in 2021 and after two years of negotiations was able to buy 11 cars. I make it look easy, but it rarely is.

That's an impossible quest. it's like when people ask me how much to restore a car I'm selling. A million different factors, like do you want a $10,000 paint job, or a $50,000 paint job? Are you saving original metal or replacing everything?

Reminds me of a trip years ago in DC when a friend and I went to look at a couple of 914's It was some parking garage on the lower level and there must have been 60 Porsche's there in various states. 1 was a 64-1/2 911 a couple 912's from the late 60's a few 356's and a hand full of 914's. Passed on the 914's as a couple were front clips re-welded on rears. Also 356 repairs using 1 inch square stock to beef up the rust sags....sketchy as hell. I just can't remember exactly where it was?
