anyone able to translate german?

https://www.gute-fahrt.de/porsche/porsche-k...-anderen-augen/

had come across a photo of this one before - always thought it was an airbrush design drawing/touched up photo for a design study.

not so? -- looks like it was real?

EDIT - used my chrome browser to go into it again and translate from german.

its real and its a design study by karmann.
the files are held in the collection of the former karmann factory.

The introduction translates something like this,: "Agfa Gevaert" is written on the orange-red cardboard box for photo paper that Klaus-Dieter Ulrich, curator of the vehicle collection in Osnabrück, pulls out of his office cupboard: "You were looking for something about the Porsche 914. I have something there."

The second parts translates, "With these words he opens the box and hands it over. The contents are a small sensation: a whole stack of press photos, some of which are sorted into the typical wine-red plastic folders in A4 format that were popular in the 60s and early 70s. The pictures, dated August 20, 1970, show two vehicles in the courtyard of the villa right at the Karmann factory gate. One car is a 914/4 as we know it. However, the other has fixed dual headlights. A hint of Opel Manta B is in the air. The background to this prototype from 1970: the expected stricter registration regulations in the USA. They wanted to get away from the pop-up headlights and the high-beam headlights should be mounted higher. Ultimately it remained a prototype that was scrapped. Unfortunately, further documents on the project are missing. But the press photos are still there - and are probably appearing here for the first time in a magazine.Handmade This is how the spotlights would have been adjusted. Good to see: the rather crude welding work on the 914.

The two picture captions are:

(1st pic)The Porsche 914 appears completely changed with the new front section, which Karmann presented as a proposal in 1970.

and:

(2nd pic)Manual work This is how the headlights would have been adjusted. Good to see: the rather crude welding work on the 914.

I'm sure someone will have a better way to translate the article.

anyone able to translate german?

A design that was proposed by Karmann and (thankfully) rejected.
The car was crushed.
