Must you remove the distributor to remove the engine tin from the passenger side of the engine? It appears to be what is holding up my tin from being removed?

I am trying to remove the cylinder head while only removing the least number of items as possible.

My answer is no.....I've done it several times w/o taking out the dizzy.
