I'm rebuilding my engine for the first time. I've purchased and watched the excellent video from RAT, and read and saved the excellent article "$200 rebuild" on Samba.

So my request is what else you guys got like these. I'd like to collect those high caliber articles, videos, diagrams that have made your work so much better.

I'll organize and repost what I get.

(It doesn't necessarily need to be rebuild related, that's just what I'm interested in at the moment)

Ian Karr’s YouTube series is great. Also see the Samba’s 1.8liter rebuild video in the 411/412 forum section; it’s similar to the Cheap Junk rebuild on the ShopTalk forum website’s Type4 section.

Also see the 4th Dimension/ Type 4 Porsche VW Performance Group Facebook page run by Jake Raby and Tabari Andrade. Lots of good tech tips get shared on it, too.

Boost related: Best overall view of turbocharging. The info in this book is old now but still applicable. Basic turbocharger theory is perfect in this book. I helped edit it; Corky is one of my mentors. The manuscript was a bunch better than the final chopped and channeled book.
