Found a cheaper clutch kit for stock cars...
Disc, PP and TOB.

Look up 1975 Porsche 914 2.0.
Go to transmission selection.
Under clutch kit they list KF191-01 for $281

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/porsche...clutch+kit,1993

This is the cheapest I have found this kit. I ordered one and it showed up today.

All German parts!

This kit was originally for a 912 but should work for a 914.

It is not listed under 1.8??? screwy.gif

Use this code for 5% off until 2-2

Hope this helps someone!

Maybe I screwed up and it doesn't fit?

Maybe someone else has better info about fitment than me.

This is a 215mm clutch.

Hmmm I thought 912 used a 200 mm clutch though?

Sachs KF19101 fits 914s

Printed on PP is "Typ M 215" and disc measured exactly 215mm across.

6 reaction springs in disc and has "marchels" type disc center.

This should be a very soft "OEM style" engagement clutch.

The quality of the parts is "old school German" which is excellent IMO.

So many of the OEM manufactures in Europe have moved their suppliers into "eastern European" countries and I was happy to see these are still made in Germany.

I don't know if Sachs has moved to non-German manufacture but SO many have that I was expecting "Estonia, Bulgaria, Lithuania", or some other such country...

Often times the Rock Auto stuff is OLD!

I scored a PS hose for an 89 Grand Waggoneer that was NOS from the early 90s...
This hose was concours perfect and appeared to be what Chrysler installed from the start. The box was highly "yellowed" and had been sitting on a parts shelf for 30+ years.

Some auto parts supplier/warehouse is clearing out their warehouse and came across those Porsche parts and listed them with Rock Auto to just move it along ASAP. It is my understanding that RockAuto doesn't have it's own warehouses; it's like an online wholesale message board for parts warehouses to sell NOS and overstocked parts that aren't selling fast enough and just sit gathering dust on warehouse shelves while waiting for the "right buyer" to come along. Many auto parts suppliers and warehouses list stuff they want to dump on Rock Auto just to get it sold off and clear out some shelf space. I have gotten many parts at great prices from RockAuto where the boxes were old/crushed/dusty

Sometimes the shipping is from SO many sources it gets costly.

Normally you can find a 5% code that often will pay for the shipping.

I always find a code...

Please do tell where you find the code. I have the same exact clutch ordered from rock auto installed in a 914-6 being tested right now. It’s 15° in snow everywhere so I have to wait a little bit.

I just google "Rock Auto Discount code" although I buy enough stuff, they send me codes to my e-mail.

The code I listed was one they sent me direct. I do not know if it was special for me alone.

I do not think it was...

I cannot remember placing an order in the last ten years without a code.

It always goes in the "how did you hear about us" spot on your order.

Most of the time it pays for shipping.

A decade ago, I could find 10% codes. Those appear to be gone now.

What I covet is the magnets!

I've almost covered an 80-gallon compressor tank to date...

HUGE PSA about Rock Auto!!!!!!

Sending stuff back is a PIA

I always check Amazon for the same critter...

With Prime, shipping is free and sending back is 10 times easier.

I have successfully sent stuff back to RA!

It's about as much fun as pulling teeth out of a house cat...

Yes, you CAN get it done, but by the time you're done you're covered in blood and some of it is yours.

Sometimes their catalog is WRONG!

I once had a MINI Clubman stuck on my lift for a week due to RA misinformation regarding a clutch.
The entire subframe and suspension has to come out!

I was FREAKING PISSED!

I did learn to refuse clutch jobs on those...
