Pulled heads

Cyl #2 has helacoil for spark plug, lots of build up.

Push rods are thicker aluminum with metal ends. Don't remember my bus (hydrolic lifters) looking like this. No picture dry.gif sorry

maybe 3/8 or 7/16 in diameter

Are they stock???

Comments from those who have seen inside of lots of these?

Ring ridge looks reasonable. Is all this carbon from oil or is the EFI I got with this motor likely whacked? Just wondering.

Its been burning the HELL out of oil!! That thick goopy stuff isn't just carbon!

Also looks like you had some healthy head leaks- lenmme guess, it had head gaskets installed???

BTW- I see a crack in one of the heads already, right near the spark plug.... After those are bead blasted and put in the oven I bet there are a dozen more- looks well neglected from here!
