Greetings,

Ordered wires for a 74 2.0 from a very respected Type 4 supplier. Magnecor 40442's were listed as correct.
When they arrived, I noticed they have right angle connectors at the distributor and rubber connectors for the plug end. This was not noted online.

Are these good to go for a stock 2.0?
(If all goes well, it'll be running a 123 distributor)

Those are fine. At least they don't have left angle connectors. I like the way the writing on the wires runs in the same direction.

I thought 2 and 4 need the longer reach connectors at the plug end as the sheet metal rises towards the front of the car. I am pretty sure that's how mine are set up.

Just pull the grommets up. Yes? The lower one on the right has its grommet pulled away from the connector. Doesn't the one on the lower left appear to be longer?

connectors are all the same length but the grommets do slide.
VaccaRabite
I've used these before. They are good.

What boot does the 1-2-3 distributer require. I noticed the MSD 31939 set doesn’t have one.

You have to be kidding me. Like what... The coil wire doesn't have a connector. Hmmm.

123 cap is same as a bosch OEM - strange that the 31939 doesn't have both connectors.
Geezer914
They provide a boot and connector in a separate package as you have to cut your coil wire to your length.

@DRPHIL914 - Still on sale - $96 from $129

I didn't call them out originally just in case they were wrong - but I love doing business with LN.

agreed i do like dealing with LN as well. I would think these should be compatible with the 123ignition distributor, yes?

FlacaProductions
I wouldn't see why not. That's what I'm planning on.

They work I have them
will fit the stock coil.
but If you're trying The Black 1.5 Ohm Epoxy Coil from 123
(I was looking for more spark used on the six )
The Elbow is a dis-advantage to the larger/deeper connection with that coil

Interesting - what's the issue?
jim_hoyland
I just installed the new LN Magnacore wires; idle seems smoother.
I noticed that there was no sales tax charge ; said it’s an out of state sale.
FlacaProductions
Thanks @GBX0073 - our replies crossed. I have both a stock and a 123 1.5 coil so i'll be aware of fit issues - thank you.

@jim_hoyland - good to hear!
