Wasn't the 74 expansion tank plastic, or maybe only the late 74? confused24.gif

If this one is metal, wouldn't it be 70-73? idea.gif

I'll take it! It's a 74. My LE produced in 2/74 has a metal expansion tank. My other '74 in 6/74 has a plastic tank.

So same metal expansion 70 to early 74? Thanks!

My May 74 1.8 has a metal one. They were still using 73 leftover parts (my seats are 73 stitched version rather than 74 seamed version and 73 chrome VW tank cap).
