After about a month, my rolling shell finally arrived from Oregon. This car is going to get a 2003 Outback EZ30 with variable valve timing and a Subaru 6 speed.

Already started cutting away at the fenders...

You have my attention...

I also have an EZ30 914 in progress, just about to restart the project after a 6-month break.

I'm about to add metal GT flares soon. popcorn[1].gif

That is a very nice car you are hacking up for a Subaru. Why not just drive a Subaru?

This car does look nice on the surface, it has some issues. Fortunately the hell hole is good, but the rear floor pan was not cut out properly. It had some driver's side front end damage at some point and has been hidden under a bunch of Bondo and respray. Also, the engine, trans, wiring harness, fuel tank, switches... All missing. To swap all these things over, I purchased a parts car which I now find to valuable to be a parts donor. I'm not a purist though I respect and appreciate the purity in cars. This car is perfectly suited for my restomod/outlawish/bastardizing ways smile.gif

Because anybody can drive a Subaru. But, not just anybody can drive a resto-moded 914!

And it's his car. He can do what he wants with it.

Ignore the naysayers and unsolicited criticism. Carry-on.

The car does look good from the outside. Good luck with the project. I'm not a purist, I have done bad things to good cars. I plan on out lawing a 64 356 in the next year or so. Carry on...

The worst part of a 914-4 is the engine and you could always change it back. I tried to minimize the cutting when I did my conversion if someone so chose to do so. Will enjoy watching this build so please keep posting updates.
