Does it matter if one of the struts is harder to turn than the other?
They both compress its just one is tighter to turn than the other.

The tight one, the grease seal was harder to get in and didn't seem to want to seat as easy as the other side. Click to view attachment

If it takes a pipe wrench to move it then you have a problem. If it is just somewhat tighter because that seal didn't want to seat all the way you could take it apart and figure out what is up. Or run it and let it wear in. That is my opinion anyway After I put in new seals it was a little harder to turn.

Think I'll go back and see if it frees up with the seal out.
