was following the guide below and trying to get the gear selector back in the transmission—unfortunately I am no longer in neutral and the guide only says "get more difficult"... I'm hoping someone can help describe what needs to happen as the diagrams aren't helpful and I am doing this in the dirt and under jackstands (read: I am losing my mind)

TIA!

Use long screwdriver or similar tool to realign the internal shift forks to neutral position that allows the console to slide in.

A picture of what you’re dealing with and where your shift forks moved to is worth 1000 words.

Internal shift rods should align along green line so gear selector console can slide in Click to view attachment
