To translate this in "American"....
Speckmannstraße 16 translates to "16 Speckmann Street"

21220 Seevetal translates to

Seevetal is like the city "San Francisco"

21220 is the postal code.

There are no states but there are regions like Bavaria =-)))

PS: you can substitute the "ß" with "ss" as in "Speckmannstrasse"

actually, there are states, they're called "Bundesländer" ...

but you don't use them in a mailing address, that's what the zip-code is for.

Dont forget to put GERMANY underneath everything.. my friends here in the states tried to send me something when i was home in sweden, but forgot SWEDEN, and then its kinda difficult to figure out where in the states it is going if you know what i mean

yes, you need to put "Germany" to get it out of the US.

after that, it'll be in Germany, where they read and write German :-)
