I'm installing 911 emergency brakes on my 914 trailing arms.
What is the best rear caliper to go with ?
Must be compatible (piston size) with S alloy fronts and 19mm master.
Must have supply and bleeder in correct orientation and vented 911 rotor
compatible.
Is there a suitable alloy caliper available ?
Help / suggestion is appreciated.

Tangerine Racing has all the hardware. Use 911 M rear calipers 69- for vented rotors.

Check PMB, they have Willwood rear caliper set up and separate hand brake caliper in vendor section

Porsche used S calipers front and M calipers rear on the early turbos. I haven't come across an alloy caliper that works (fit, price, etc) as well as a rear M caliper. Sure it cost you a couple pounds but it will easily bolt on and work, at least until you find something better.

Are you using a center mounted 911 e-brake lever?

S alloy front are the same piston size as M front, i.e. 48mm.

I guess the balaced option for the rear would be 914-6 rears which are 38mm? All of which is compatible with the 19mm MC.

When you cost all of it, might be easier just to put on 914-6 replicas. He even offers them with the spacers for a GT version (vented rotors). Now, to find GT rotors...

I know you like the S calipers, but I’m glad I dumped them and went with front and rear Boxster brakes. More modern, much cheaper and better braking. They work great with a 19mm master cylinder. I am also running the 911 E brake.

In the process of doing the exact same thing.

PMB restored S calipers up front, but do not have a solution for alloy rear calipers. But, that doesn't really matter because the rotors from the 911 are heavier anyway. In other words, any weight you would save with rear alloy calipers, you would lose with the heavier rotors. So, if you're looking to save weight, keep the 914 brakes.

I'm installing the 911 ebrakes for a simple reason.
My headers are much wider than stock heat exchangers and the stock
ebrake cables can not be held away from the hot tubes.
With the 911 ebakes the cables can be repositioned.
I'll post pics as it comes together.
I do have M calipers and will use them.
I was hoping there might be some suitable little known alloy rears.

Different subject. Does anyone have a pair of PMB alloy 914 6 rears for sale ?
I'd like them for another project and do have stock 6 rears for bait.
