After bringing the gauge cluster tin to bare metal already, do I powder coat (I have a small powder coating unit) or do I paint it? Should it be gloss or a flat? What do you think? open to suggestions. Thanks!

I painted mine matte black

Satin black was the original color, if I remember correctly. I painted mine black wrinkle finish to break up the monotony of the 914's black interior and dashboard.

When I had my car painted Jaguar Racing Green I had my gauge cluster plate painted the same color. Wanted to introduce that color into the interior.

I'd paint.

Powdercoat is thick and doesn't take manipulation well, tends to chip off.

I haven't re-installed Porsche bezels before, but most others require bending the lip to secure.

I'm not sure PC would accept that.

I'd use "low gloss black" Dupli-Color DE 1634 if I was hunting "stock".

The body color idea from the previous post might be killer too!

Edit: Sorry, thought you were referring to the bezels. Powdercoat might work fine for the gauge plate.
