Today we are at $1.47 L
Maybe I am dreaming, or intoxicated from holding back a long winded political rant....but I was thinking...
In the future, when gas hits + $2.00L, the small economical, roadster antiques... ehem...914....should see a huge increase in value. I suspect a lot of the American/not so special models, that have been getting inflated market values, will start to fall. Who wants to pay 300$ gas bill to drive around in a 69 Skylark 4 Door ?
My 914 with a mild hoppup, carbed 2.0l gets surprisingly good mileage. For the same amount of miles, I would pay 100$ in gas for my teener
As long as the gas prices don't just plain ass kill the "weekend" car world.
What you guys think? I am trying to find a brite side in this mess.

Those that gouge citizens around the globe now will pay eventually. Keep Bastille Day in mind. Screw someone once and it might feel good to the screwing party but when you screw the whole world relentlessly to have more money than you could ever spend, some on the globe are going to make it their life duty to make the remaining days of those money loving turds short and very painful.

Our goverment finds a reason to increase prices almost every two days.
If you know that 80% of these prices are in one or another way just taxes ...
