$47 kit plus shipping look for NDT > Non-distructive testing
Bought this to get real look at my 2.0L Heads

Clean heads (crank, etc) with spray cleaner. and then shoot the dye penetrant

Let is sit for ~ 30 min, wipe off with rag (do not re-clean)
Then spray on the developer. Cracks would develop as jagged red lines through the developer
Little wicking around plug threads, but no cracks

Cool! Who'd you get the NDT kit from? That'd be handy in numerous places....suspension components come to mind.

Do a search on NDT non-destructive testing - you may have someone in your area. This is a "real" kit same stuff I used as industrial pump mechanic. They have the magetic kits too, just dont work on aluminum

I think you can get a similar kit from eastwood as well.

or just use ink, wipe on wet wait one minute and wipe off
