I like the flares a ton...It's that red color
If you decide to keep 'em red, you should do the fronts too and wear a red doo rag or head band as well
Nothing subliminal there

Aaron,
Do they clear the fenders when the suspension is under comrpession? You've got static clearance but it looks like there is going to be a lot of rubbing when things start moving around. BTDT

One of the bigger "ah ha" s for me was the amount of side to side play that you get from tires when you are going around corners. I had 9 inch turbo twists under the back of mine, and they fit just fine with the full suspension travel, under acceleration and the whole schmir. Then I took a briskish run up the ol' Dump Road and smoked my fenders like a Cohiba.
back to the eights.

inside clears just fine. full compression is not a prob.
worried about tire moving about the rim in corners though

Does the tire move a lot on the rim when the tire is
the 'right size' for the rim?
I was scared when I saw how much my 205 moves
on the 6" rim. I want to move to 7's someday soon.

mskala's video is what brought that to mind. my 205 azenis on 6'' fuchs rubbed the inner fender on sharp corners.
on 7" no prob.
now a 225 on an 8" rim has less than straight sidewalls, ie- the tire may be too small for the rim. so im not sure how much it will move about the 8" wheel

225's on 8's are just right, I'd rather be wider on wheels than tires if I had the choice.

agreed. 205's on 7's are the hot ticket, and 225's on 8's look and feel right. these es100's have a stepped sidewall, like as if they were designed for a narrower rim....
who cares...they fit. we will see if they rub at all

8" to 8.5" looks pretty good for hoosier 225's. We
have a local miata guy running 8.5" with them.

I think it was another homo-jab... Put some chalk on the tire edges and go drive the car.
See if it scuffs off during hard cornering.
