ok, i tryed to start up my new project yesterday. got it all ready, and got one of those remote starters that connects to the starter its self. push the button , and the starter just spins....it wouldnt engage. is there anything i can do instead of removing the starter and replacing it?? thanks!!!

sounds like it mightta not been hooked up right...
goes between B+ (the thick wire from the battery/alternator) and the tab where the yellow wire lives.
if you just connect the big terminals, it just spins the starter motor, which should not mormally occur until the solenoid has fully engaged the Bendix.
the switch turns on the solenoid - the solenoid turns on the starter motor.

Could also be a sticky bendex....spray some WD-40, etc on/in it.
