My friend has a 75 2.0 cali car. we took off the cat, air pump, air recirc system, and disconnected the egr. Car has all new vacume lines and fuel lines. It idles around 1500 rpm. Adjusting the idle screw on the throttle body makes no change. We double checked the vacume lines and plugged the areas where the emmissions were. Any tips on where to look? Car had a normal idle before we did all this. lol.

I'd say there is a vac leak some place. Use some carb cleaner with a nozzle and spray around everything and the bad connection will show up.

Vacuum leak, misplaced hoses or you didn't hook up the retard hose to the distributor.
Check the hose layout on PP (Do we have that here yet guys?)
Use the starting fluid to find the leak
hook up the hose to the port on the back of the vacuum can on the distributor to the vacuum port on the Throttle body.

Retime the motor also to 27 degrees BTDC at 3500 rpms, distributor hoses off and plugged.
