I moved about 5 years ago to another city into a housing community of about 80 houses . Everyone knows me as the guy with 5 old air cooled Porsche's ( none running on the road ) biggrin.gif However ! A friend knows a guy who bought a Euro 3.0 Carrera dropping the drivetrain to get the body restored back to its original Ice Green Metallic paint . Needless to say they didn't have a clue , no tools no nothing but a 4 post lift . While walking his dog this morning we started talking that he was headed over there to lend a hand . Dude was a lawyer no mechanical ability at all , so I invited myself over to at least see the car knowing how rare it is. I brought the motorcycle / ATV with the cradle and 4 trips back to my house to get the specific tools , 90 minutes later it's free n clear . Past SoCal car virtually no rust . Can't wait to see it done and got a new friend out of it.Click to view attachment

They are special cars. The engine is a 3.0 turbo without the turbo. We are building one right now as a hot rod. Bigger p&c’s, twin plug, itb’s, etc.

I agree.
Euro only car, heads with big valves, six bolt crank and still light by todays
standards. And rare.

Looks like a fun combo!

How did you get that engine past the rails on the 4 post?
